Arjun Bijlani reacts to dating rumours with Mouni Roy, says ‘Someone has been trying to defame Mouni Roy’
Ever since actress Mouni Roy seperated from her husband Suraj Nambiar, there has been a constant buzz and curiosity among netizens regarding the reason fo their seperation. There has been constant reports of alleged cheating, infidelity sometimes and some trolls went even further to describe Mouni’s friendship with bollywood hottie Disha Patani as a reason for their break-up, questioning Mouni’s sexuality.
The rumour mills took another turn this week, after Mouni was spotted having dinner with close friend from her TV days, actor Arjun Bujlani. Severals trolls and short sighted media outlets suddenly linked up both the actors, without verifying anything, considering the fact that Arjun Bijlani is also married with kids.
During a conversation with Telly Talk India, Arjun Bijlani dismissed the dating rumours, saying that he and Mouni Roy have often gone out for dinner with friends. He added that they have also spent time together privately and said he was unsure why their recent dinner outing had been portrayed differently.
Arjun further added, “I initially ignored it, but I think Krystle (D’Souza) said, ‘What nonsense,’ because she knows me. People who know us obviously commented on the post. So I felt that if my friends were speaking up and I didn’t, it would be wrong.” During the interview, Arjun Bijlani also claimed that some people are trying to defame Mouni Roy. “And honestly, I feel that for quite some time now, someone or the other has been trying to defame Mouni. I don’t know who.”
Arjun Bijlani and Mouni Roy have worked together as lead co-stars in the hit supernatural television series Naagin.
Arjun married Neha Swami on May 20, 2013, and they have one child (a son named Ayaan). Mouni Roy married Suraj Nambiar on January 27, 2022, and the couple reportedly separated around May 14, 2026.
